Arrow should be visible if cable is inserted correctly. Strip a couple of inches of the CAT-5 outer sleeve. Untwist the pairs and press them into the slots indicated. Install the clamping bar to hold the wires in place. Clip off both ends of the ground connection between pins 39(A) and 36(E) adjacent to the connector body. Clip loose ends off each wire adjacent to the connector body, leaving intact the jumper between 36(E) and 30(M). Add a handle, if available, to the strain relief. Fold the wires around the top of the connector body and install the the strain relief (with handle, if available) over them. The male DB25 solder cup connector installs on the other end as follows: 1 o o 14 TXD Orange 2 o o 15 RXD Green 3 o o 16 RTS Brown 4 o o 17 CTS Green-White 5 o o 18 DSR Brown-White 6 o o 19 GND Orange-White 7 o DTR Blue-White o 20 RSD Blue 8 o o 21 9 o o 22 10 o o 23 11 o o 24 12 o o 25 13 o Note: This time pin 1 is on top, and note that physically proximate pins are not numbered consecutively! Be sure to install the connector hood, and ensure that the cable is clamped such that can not move inside the hood.
