Summary in Animal Psychophysics Thomas H. Harding and J. Terry Yates, Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana The "PSYCHO" system is an elaborate set of programs which control all facets of an animal psychophysical experiment. The system consists of three separate programs which are simultaneously core resident. The programs control the stimulus presentation and experimental contingencies, collect “on-line" data, analyze the data statistically and summarize the data by means of a teletype "print-out", hard-copy graphs and paper-tape output. The psychophysical method employed is that of Blough. The general method has application to numerous animal psychophysical tasks in which "titration" schedules are used. Instructions for program modification are included in the program text.
