PAL III/Editor 8K Link Patch

This patch allows the Editor in lower core to communicate
directly with PAL III in upper core, thereby effectively pro-
ducing zero-pass assembler. Five-to-one assembly time
reductions may easily be experienced. Both programs con-
tinue to behave normally in regard to the low speed reader
and punch.

Minimum Hardware:
8K PDP-8

Other Programs Needed:
PAL III, August, 1965 or later;
PDP-8 Editor, August, 1967
later

Restrictions:
Prevents use of high speed punch
for Editor and high speed reader
for PAL III

Miscellanious:
Reverses the action of switches
0 and 1 for the Editor; switch
10 establishes link to PAL III
