Abstract: An easy way of selecting the output device, either a teletype of a line printer, is illustrated. The

patch is an overlay which can be loaded after loading the FOCL.S (DECUS No. FOCAL8-148*) compiler.

The routines occupy the core area allocated for user-coded subroutines.

Note: * DECUS No. FOCAL8-148 has been obsoleted from the DECUS library, however, DECUS No.

FOCAL8-227 replaces it in part.
