This program punches patterns on paper tape to reproduce the character typed on the keyboard. A 4 x 6 matrix is used, based on the LINC display characters. All printing keys are valid, together with the space bar. All other control keys are ignored. The program uses L-18, BUFFER, for I/O and checks that it is operating on a LINC-8 with the BUFFER routines avaiable on the Unit 0 tape.
