The 8/I panel tests are meant to cycle the lights of an 8/I panel in an easily verified way. There are two tests, since the panel has four M900 connections, and the tester can accomodate two. You will also need two tested M900 modules, and appropriate cabling. 8IPAN1.TST tests the main block of registers in the middle. Cable the M900 in slot "A" to the left side of the registers (middle two connectors), and the one in slot "B" to the right side. Turn on comments, and single step the test. Each bit, from left to right, should light in turn, for PC, MA, MB, AC, and MQ. 8IPAN1.TST tests the registers on the left, and then the status indicators on the right. Cable the M900 in slot "A" to the leftmost connector, and "B" to the rightmost. Each bit of DF, IF, LINK, and SC should be lit one at a time, followed by each status bit. Status bits should light from top to bottom, then move to the next column. Like the M900 tests, there are no output pins, so the tests always appear to pass. You have to look at the actual display to determine if things are working. Vince
